Labor Day Weekend at the Beach House!

We had a perfect time with family and friends at the beach house this past weekend.

The beach was surprisingly clean, the water clear, and there were no flesh eating microscopic shrimp.

Baking poppy seed cake (minus the poppy seeds) with grandma.

The kids have been planning a Candy Challenge for weeks and my sister and I decided we would play a little prank on them. We slipped in some Beanboozled jelly beans. Barf, Rotten Egg, and Dog Food flavor! Yum! Watch until the end!

Try as you might, no one will ever outfish this kid.

The clear water brought in various fish that we do not catch often...like this Cravelle Jack.

A "night rainbow."

The star of the evening, Shina caught a big Redfish!

A Dogfish.

Shina's redfish was added to the gumbo.

Best buds.

Fun at the community fish fry.

Wale drove us home and it was very entertaining!

He swerved all over the road, nearly hit a truck, fence, and squirrel.

See you next time!

  1. No "flesh eating microscopic shrimp" is always a bonus. Is that really a thing? Looks like a great family weekend. I love the pics and your littlest one is getting so big (and insanely cute). Goodness!
