I didn't really feel like teaching reading, writing, spelling, math, grammar, etc., etc. this week. So I declared it get outside week. I think a month of lessons 4x a week is about right before we all need an extended break of some sort. It's only natural.

On Tuesday, we went to Sheldon Lake State Park.
The observation deck was cool and mosquito free.
Some professional bird watchers helped us to identify migrating birds.
This frog played possum as soon as Wale picked it up.
The girls worked on getting Junior Ranger badges while Shina fished.

All of our memberships to places around town have expired. We decided to go with The Health Museum and the Children's Museum for now. They are across the street from each other and so it is easy to visit both every time we go.
The kids loved learning about polyps and colon cancer while climbing through the colossal colon!

On Thursday we went to the tire park and the kids played Ninja Warrior.

Next week is looking hot and maybe a little rainy. Sounds like a good time for routine and cozy, comforting home time.
Maybe they can be polyps for Halloween. Taven needs to get some smaller hooks.
