We normally make a Hill Country trip in the summer to visit my brother and Grandma. However, with our big National Park road trip happening this year, we went early. We stayed with my brother. There was a lot of drum playing and karaoke. Everyone is getting pumped up and prepared for the Third Annual Judge's Bench 4th of July Talent Show.
First stop...Blanco State Park.

We were just chilling outside The Alamo, waiting for Grandma and Grandpa, when the kids started screaming and pointing "A Power Ranger! A Power Ranger!" We ran over to him to get a picture and afterwards Wale said, "See! I told you Power Rangers were real!"

The world's tallest man.
The Hall of Horns.
The River Walk.
Hemisfair Park.
Back at Uncle Doug's playing with cousin Hannah.
Last stop... Hamilton Pool.
We were very lucky. I figured we would just hike around the pool because there is almost never swimming. Well I got an email Sunday saying that Monday was the first day they would allow people to get in! Score!
We arrived pretty much as soon as they opened and had the place to ourselves for a bit. Gradually, others showed up. There is a reservation system now which means it never really gets too crowded.
The girls trying to swim to the waterfall.
Great time visiting family and seeing the sights!
